Wittering, West Sussex

A contemporary new extension to an existing cottage. This steel frame features an integral floating stair that was shop welded to the rectangular hollow section stringers during the fabrication process. The stringers being just 100 mm in width, allowed the Architect to hide them within the depth of a typical timber stud wall creating the illusion of floating treads.
